What is BS7799?
BS7799 is the British standard for the protection of an organization's information asset. Outsourcing your work, makes security a necessity and not just an option. What is the difference between ISO27001 and BS7799?
ISO 27001, entitled "Information Security Management - Specification With Guidance for Use", is the replacement for BS7799-2. It is intended to provide the foundation for third party audit, and is 'harmonized' with other management standards, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

An internal task force comprising security specialists, auditors, and domain experts were deployed to ensure that every facet of the organization conformed to the Information Security Management Systems mandated by the certifying authority.
